Original Pencil Drawing Stag 'Royalty'

The deer is Britain's largest native land mammal. The Scottish mountains are one of the main areas they are seen. Stags develop a large set of antlers that grow with age. Starting with just two points, the antlers steadily develop more branches, reaching up to 16 in most cases. These antlers are shed and regrown every year.
 
We were lucky enough to have seen them in the rutting season. Whilst on a break in Scotland with the family. A very noisy time for such a tranquil place!
